Fund It Friday! February 24th
OMG, It’s Friday already!? I’ve had an awesome week and here’s why…
We’re huge fans of Daily Magic’s colorful, strategic and thematically engaging games and this time the one we’re recommending happens to very close to me heart. Food Truck Champion is a tasty game that Luke and I have been working on for nearly 3 years. On Tuesday it launched and had done very well! We hit our funding goal and the next stretch goals brings more art, expansion content and other cool features. FTC was inspired by our love for Glory to Rome and it is a game between 2-5 competing food trucks trying to become the most popular by the end of the game. You can hire staff, hand-pick your ingredients and build orders for customers all in the pursuit of gaining popularity. Food Truck Champion will be on Kickstarter until March 15th and a copy is $20 (or $24 for a DELUXE edition)!
Who killed all the gardens?! The Last Garden is a uniquely-themed game about Robotanists building an artificial garden in the post-apocalypse at the order of The Queen. Players are essentially trying to gain the most points after three rounds and use various actions and placement in the garden, mines and workshop. I played The Last Garden at GeekGirlCon last year and loved the combination of simplistic turns with a depth of strategy. If you’re looking for an easy-to-learn worker placement game with gorgeous art, make sure to back The Last Garden!
Join an adventure on the high seas in Jackal Archipelago. Players control three pirates with unique abilities who are on the search for Jackal’s treasure. To win, a player must successfully find and haul the treasure back to their ship facing off between other pirates’ plunderings. The tile-based board creates a new world to navigate every time and players can do much more than pillages. Additional actions in game include meeting natives, garrisoning a fort, or even taking flight in a hot-air balloon!
I hope you enjoyed this list of tabletop games and products that we are currently obsessing over on Kickstarter. If you have a Kickstarter you think we should cover, please let us know in the comments or contact us on Facebook and Twitter. Please consider supporting or sharing these campaigns with friends to help these games meet their goal. We’ll be back with another Kickstarter article next week!
