Fund It Friday! February 10th

Oh boy! Here we are Friday, February 10th and I feel the winter freeze on Kickstarter game campaigns has thawed and I am going to be buried alive by the rush of Kickstarter games competing for my attention. Have you been to the Kickstarter Tabletop section recently? There are pages and pages of awesome games and rpgs out there right now. I will keep today’s list to just my top favorites, but you should browse the Kickstarter tabletop section and see the tons of interesting games are looking for support!

Dice Throne:

Dice Throne immediately grabs you with its vibrant art and characters and keeps you at the table with its fun, dice-based gameplay and growing tension each round of the game. Play as your favorite fantasy class like Barbarian, Paladin or Monk or choose a more unique option of Pyromancer or Moon Elf. In Dice Throne, players roll dice and use the rolled resources for their attack and defensive abilities. Players can also buy upgraded abilities to beef up their character in an attempt to be the last character standing in a 1v1, 2v2 or battle royale game.

Exosphere is an epic game of a galactic fleet battle for 2 players. As either the Earth Frontier Alliance (E.F.A) or the Qirulain, players will be using their unique fleet of ships, heroes and upgrades to destroy their opponent’s mothership before their own is blown up. There are hundreds of cards in Exosphere which adds to the replayability of the game. A full game takes only 25 minutes and so players can have a different game each time they play.

Make100: The Monster:

This is the best #Make100 campaign I’ve seen so far! This is a creative collaboration that brings the fantasy and horror world of an 8 year old girl to life. Liz is the game designer behind Angry Hamster RPG and she is publishing the original art and text of her children’s book titled “The Monster”, which she wrote as an 8-year-old. This project will also include an updated story, art, setting material, a haunted house dungeon for roleplaying games. Make100: The Monster is system independent meaning all the material in this book will be just setting and ideas that players can use and adapt to their favorite roleplaying game system.

The Shared Dream:

This awesome cooperative game is set in same realm as ODAM Publishing’s tabletop RPG Of Dreams And Magic. In The Shared Dream, players take on an imagined persona with other-worldly powers and abilities which they use to fight off the evil menace creeping into their dreams. Players can choose from four different scenarios each with its own objective and terrifying villains to defeat. Like any great cooperative adventure game, The Shared Dream features a 30-tile board that is completely modular; artifacts, dark magic and ability cards to collect and use . The best feature of this game is the cost associated with using the player’s strongest abilities and beefing up their animus. To use these abilities, players will be using conviction which also makes the nightmare even stronger. Players will face lots of difficult decisions when working together to defeat this nightmare!

From the creators of Schrodinger’s Cats and Kobolds Ate My Baby!, comes their next Kickstarter game, Bearicades. Just like their previous games, Bearicades is light-hearted card game with take-that elements. Each player represents a forest looking to protect the woodland creatures from lumberjacks. Players will take turns drawing cards and playing cards to defend the forest and creatures from being snatched up by the invasive lumberjacks. Play Bearicades, make an alliance with predators and even trick your way into make sure your forest remains intact.

I hope you enjoyed this list of tabletop games and products that we are currently obsessing over on Kickstarter. If you have a Kickstarter you think we should cover, please let us know in the comments or contact us on Facebook and Twitter. Please consider supporting or sharing these campaigns with friends to help these games meet their goal. We’ll be back with another Kickstarter article next week!
