Fund It Friday! December 2nd

Brrr, there’s a chill in the air! It is December already and we’re looking forward to the winter months of cozy board game nights. These are some of the few and final Kickstarter campaigns you’ll see in 2016. We hope you enjoy them!

Ether Wars:

Players represent the different factions of Ether who are vying for control of the planet. To win, a player will need to be the first person to collect 5 Ether points. Ether Wars is a game of dice placement, resource management and area control. Each faction of Ether has different abilities which makes the gameplay experience different each time you play as one of the four factions. Each faction also comes with their own color coded custom dice.

Abandon Planet!:

The designer of Avalon and The Resistance is back with another game on Kickstarter that features hidden roles, shaky alliances and trying to escape Earth before it is destroyed meteors. Players will run around the planet collecting resources and helping or betraying the other players in order to launch their rocket and escape. Abandon Planet! adds secret objectives and take-that actions to make a cutthroat game with a lot of player interaction.

Tricksters:

Creators in Mexico were recently welcomed into the Kickstarter community and Tricksters is one of the first tabletop games looking for support. Tricksters is a simple, 20 minute card game of swapping and playing cards from a shared number of cards. Players take on roles as different Annukuh: the amphibian-looking creatures that need to absorb enough light or dark energy to win the game. Tricksters has already met their initial funding goal and are relying on backers to help vote on some of the new content as they unlock it. At just $20, Tricksters is also an affordable game too.

Quickdraw:

This spaghetti western-themed micro card game is fast and furiously fun. Players place cards face down across from their opponent and take actions, use character abilities and flashbacks to gain the upper-hand a win the most shootouts. Players can choose from a diverse set of characters in a battle of outlaw vs outlaw.

Clash d’Ardeche:

Build the most awesome campsite ever! Clash d’Ardeche is back with new art and a revitalized campaign for their ‘Campground Tycoon’ game. Players will expand, upgrade and bribe their way to have the best campsite loved by tourists along the River Ardeche. Bribe and bluff your way to outshine the competition in this game with a lot of player interaction.

I hope you enjoyed this list of tabletop games and products that we are currently obsessing over on Kickstarter. If you have a Kickstarter you think we should cover, please let us know in the comments or contact us on Facebook and Twitter. Please consider supporting or sharing these campaigns with friends to help these games meet their goal. We’ll be back with another Fund It Friday article next week!

One Response to Fund It Friday! December 2nd

  1. Greetings, NIcole!

Admittedly, none of these “tickled my fancy” ~ but, seeing an e-mail from you or Luke always puts a smile on my face.

    Have a great weekend!

    Cheers,
    Joe
