The State of the Board

Hello there fellow netizens!

Thanks so much for giving the site a visit and for reading the great articles people have written here. It’s hard to believe that we’ve only been around for three months because looking in the archives, we have a lot of great content already! We’ve formalized our “three times a week” schedule, there is a fairly consistent group of contributors, and there are a wide array of games being discussed and view points being brought forward. I would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who has submitted content to the site so far, especially the regular contributors that have made this a wonderful resource for gamers in such a short time.

As of the time of writing, our Twitter account has 215 amazing followers and our Facebook page has 60 wonderful likes. We’re so excited to be able to share so much with so many people and we’re even more excited to grow and continue to grow the amount of people for whom we can provide board game content. This is a small, amateur site ran by people who just love board games. We aren’t professional writers or bloggers, we all have day jobs and in our free time we just play, make and write about games. Every time someone  reads and comments on an article it just makes our day. Thank you for your continued readership.

As you can tell, there is no other post here today. As of right now we’ll be taking today and this Friday off from adding content to the site, on account of the long weekend in the US for our Independence Day. There’s going to be a party, a game night, booze and tons of fun. During this weekend we’ll also be preparing a bunch of new content for the site and now is a great time to let us know what you think! Would you like to see us review certain kinds of games, or would you like to see an article on a certain subject? Leave a comment below, tweet at us (@board_crossing), or post to our Facebook page. We’d love to hear your suggestions, we take them all to heart!

That said, have a good 4th of July holiday if you’re celebrating it, and if not have an amazing weekend!
